Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Simply Orthodox mobile application (“the app”) provided by Demetrios Bean (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple Standard EULA”), which is incorporated by reference and available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. If any conflict exists, the stricter provision protecting the rights holder applies.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Simply Orthodox offers an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks premium features.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions after purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

4. Acceptable use

When posting prayer requests or other content, you agree not to submit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene, or that infringes others’ rights. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Community prayer content is intended for edification and mutual prayer, not for spam, solicitation, or abuse.

5. Spiritual and informational content

The app provides prayers, Scripture, saints’ lives, liturgical information, and AI-generated responses for personal devotional and educational use. This content is not a substitute for the guidance of your priest or spiritual father, nor for professional medical, legal, or mental-health advice. AI-generated responses may contain errors and should not be relied upon as authoritative teaching of the Church.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design, and its original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the app except as permitted by law.

7. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the app.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time (Profile → Account → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
